Humbly Thankful

November 25, 2021, 9:30 AM

Over the years in service to my Lord I have often been astounded at people when they have come to know Jesus as Lord and Saviour. The biggest change in them is that of humility. The humility that comes from their submission to His authority and deity. It is here that something truly remarkable happens the natural result of this humility begins to bubble up as thankfulness and gratitude. It is such a precious thing to see when a new believe begins to see himself/herself as the wretch they truly were before Christ. They begin to understand that their own self worth is not tied to their own acolytes or accomplishments. They know that the only “good” thing in them is “Christ the hope of Glory” and that He alone saves them from sin, death and the hell that they deserve. We must remember that everything that is done is done for the Glory of the Father. Any works, any deeds, any accomplishments we might do or be done in us is for Him and Him alone.
Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
2 Timothy 1:12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
Today Be Thankful that Christ has begun a good work in you and will continue to keep doing it until he comes back or takes us on. God Bless
